The best gear is the gear you can make yourself.

About Outpost 3D

We build gear for the people
who actually use it.

Outpost 3D is a maker-owned library of print-ready files for camping, hunting, fishing, household, homesteading, and everyday carry. We design it, slice it, and test it before each Thursday drop. Rest assured, you won’t be printing junk.

Why we built this

The library you wishedalready existed.

The first time your tent stake snaps and you print a replacement instead of scrambling for a hardware store, you start wondering why nobody’s designing this stuff for people who actually use it outside.

We’re two brothers who got into 3D printing and never stopped being outdoorsy, prep-minded people. We didn’t want more figurines and desk clutter — we wanted files for gear we’d actually use: rakes, mallets, shovels, funnels, ammo boxes, tent stakes, etc. So we started designing, testing, and pre-slicing our own.

Outpost 3D is more than a file repository. It’s a subscription library of gear we’ve designed ourselves — pre-sliced so anyone can print them. Field-tested, then released. Never the other way around.

How we think

Four rules we don’t break.

Field-tested first

Nothing ships to the library until at least one of us has printed it, used it outside, and tried to break it.

Designed to be printed

No fancy slicer math, no 0.2mm-or-die settings. If a 16-year-old with a Bambu A1 can’t print it, we won’t publish it.

Maker-owned

Veteran-owned, designer-built, customer-facing. There’s no corporate playbook. We use this stuff, we listen, and we drop what works.

A weekly drumbeat

Every Thursday at 12PM Eastern, new files. Tested first. Curated tight. Predictable enough that you build a rhythm around it.

The crew

Three people. No corporate.

If you have a question, an idea, or something broke — the person you’re reaching is one of us. Not a queue, not a ticket system. Just a small crew that uses the stuff we publish.

Print · Testing

Every file lands on Joe’s bench before it hits the library. He prints it, breaks it, and prints it again — if it doesn’t hold up, it doesn’t make the drop.

Marketing · Community

The eye behind our look — logo, colors, the whole brand feel. Also runs social and keeps the community in the loop.

Business · Strategy

US Army Veteran. Runs the business side — operations and the calls that keep this thing running. Most experience in the group, and it shows.

The promise

Print it. Use it.Tell us when it breaks.

Every file in the library is print-ready on most FDM printers. We take pride in the quality of our designs, and we take subscriber feedback just as seriously.

The Beta Feedback button in the header goes to a real inbox we actually read. Idea voting on /community drives what gets designed next — so if you want a piece of gear that doesn’t exist yet, the fastest way to get it made is to tell us.

The drumbeat

New gear, every Thursday.

The next drop is already in the queue. Open the door.
